POST COMMAND R'S REPORT - William Costello

·                           Our Memorial Day Parade was a success. The people of Whitestone really gave the Vets a great day  thank you!

Loretta Z. Weiss was a wonderful Grand Marshall

. Our Senior Vice  David Copell did a fine job at the podium.

I would like to thank John Procida for the singing of the National Anthem. George and Susan Lo pez for blowing Taps, well done

I would like to thank all the members for coming out and

         celebrating our day Thanks!

·       To all members, I am asking all of you to volunteer for the hospital visits and selling of poppys. We need all the help we can get.

SR. VICE COMMANDER'S REPORT - Dr. David Copell

The post is in need of volunteers to visit the VA hospital. Visits occur once a month on Friday night and the post will provide transportation to and from the hospital. Volunteers will enjoy a repast after returning to the post. The men who are confined to the hospital are very grateful when visitors provide food and gifts. You will feel proud of a deed well done when you visit disabled veterans.

CHAPLAIN'S REPORT - Thomas V. Feeks

By the time you receive this report, Memorial Day will have come and gone, but I want you to know that the W.V.M.A. planned well in advance to make the parade a success.

I spoke to Iyalo re the sale of poppies, he's had new volunteers and sales have been good. Bill Buchanan's wrist is slowly but surely improving.

Manuel Ferante passed away, we had about 20 at his wake and Susan and George played Taps. Call and pick up a fellow Vet.

Peace be with you.

The Koreans are conducting a ceremony at the Korean War Memorial in Kissena Park on Friday June 6 at 10:OOAM. The monument is located near the entrance to the park at Rose Avenue and Parsons Boulevard.
